Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of ShortSexStory (the “Service”), operated at the domain configured in production (the “Site”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility (18+)

The Service is for individuals who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher). By using the Site you represent that you meet this requirement. We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe belong to minors.

2. Accounts

You may browse some content without an account. Features such as saving stories, following users, and certain publishing tools require sign-in (passwordless email magic link). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.

3. User content

Stories, comments, series, tags, profile text, and similar materials you submit are “User Content.” You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant ShortSexStory a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content on and in connection with the Service (including caches, backups, and promotional excerpts such as titles and short previews).

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you have all rights needed to post it and that it does not violate law or these Terms or our Content Policy.

4. Adult fiction; no illegal content

The Site hosts erotic fiction between consenting adults as creative writing. Content involving minors (including fictional depictions) is strictly prohibited. We may remove content and report illegal material to authorities where appropriate.

5. Moderation

We may hide, remove, or restrict User Content or accounts at our discretion (including guest posts pending review, spam, and policy violations). We do not pre-screen all content. Report tools are provided on story pages; we may act or decline to act without obligation to explain every decision.

6. Partner promotions

The Service may show labeled partner or affiliate promotions (for example “Featured Promo”). These are advertising relationships. We are not responsible for third-party sites or purchases. Links may use attributes such as rel="sponsored".

7. Intellectual property of the Service

The Site design, trademarks, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not scrape, bulk-download, or misuse the Service except as allowed by normal browser use or written permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Fiction is imaginative writing; it is not advice or a depiction of real persons unless clearly stated by the author.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShortSexStory and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty US dollars (US $50).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShortSexStory and its operators from claims arising out of your User Content or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes; termination

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or stop the Service or your access at any time.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Exclusive venue lies in the state and federal courts located in the United States, except where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
