This Policy describes how ShortSexStory (“we”) handles information when you use the Site. Adult audience only (18+).

1. Data we process

• Account: email address, display name, username, optional avatar, verification flags, karma aggregates.
• Content: stories, series, comments, tags, reactions, follows, saved items, reports you submit.
• Technical: IP address and basic request logs (server / proxy), device/browser type, approximate location from IP if provided by infrastructure.
• Cookies / local storage: session, preferences, guest identifiers - see Cookies.

2. Purposes

Provide and secure the Service; authenticate via email magic links; moderate content; measure aggregate usage; show optional partner promotions; comply with law; respond to reports and copyright notices.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK if applicable)

Contract (providing the Service you request), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement), consent where required (certain cookies), and legal obligation where applicable.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, databases), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. Partner links may cause third parties to receive standard referral data when you click outbound ads.

5. Retention

Account and content data are kept while the account/content exists and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, and legal requirements. Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle.

6. Security

We use industry-reasonable measures (HTTPS, access controls, hashed session handling via Auth.js). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Your choices

Update profile data in Settings. Request deletion of your account by contacting support (we may retain limited records where required). You may clear cookies in your browser; some features will stop working.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries where we or our processors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
